FBC POCOMOKE CITY

FBC Pocomoke City is a 170-year-old Southern Baptist Church that exists to be a Christ-centered community church that embodies the love of God, cultivates spiritual growth, and serves our neighbors with compassion and grace. We strive to be a beacon of hope and love, shining the light of Jesus Christ in every aspect of our lives.

WHAT TO EXPECT

When you arrive you will be greeted by a loving people that are down to earth and excited to see you coming. Our service begins with a time of worship through prayer and song designed to lead you in a response to God's goodness in the world and your life. Worship is followed by a message from the Bible. These messages are engaging, direct, and designed to teach you what God's word says and what it means for you. 

SUNDAY MORNINGS

Our Sunday mornings begin at 10am with Sunday School in our education building. Worship Service begins at 11:00 am in the church sanctuary. Service usually lasts about 75 minutes.   We have a friendly and casual atmosphere. Dress the way you feel most comfortable – from jeans to business casual – but don’t worry about what you are wearing, we are just glad to have you join us.

FIRST THURSDAYS

Our “First Thursdays” community fellowship begins at 5:30 pm with a fellowship dinner. These meals are provided by our various families and groups within the church. At 6:00 pm we transition to our Bible Study time where Pastor James teaches through a book in the Bible or other theological topics. The learning environment is interactive and casual, and all ages are encouraged to attend.

IS THERE A PLACE FOR KIDS?

During our Sunday morning service we offer childcare for newborns up to three year old. Four year old's up to 1st grade take part in our Children's Church. Kids from 2nd grade on up worship with the general church body in the sanctuary.  

During the Sunday School hour children from newborns up to two year old's will remain in childcare. Three-year old's and up will be in our multi-aged children’s Sunday School class.  

PARKING & ASSESSABILITY

Our facility is blessed with ample parking available (1 paved lot and 2 overflow parking lots) with abundant handicap parking. Our facility is wheelchair and motorized chair assessible.

SUNDAY NIGHTS

Sunday Nights is for our teens and children’s ministries. I4 Student Ministries (grades 6-12); and Kid’s in Action (grades K-6) are held every Sunday at 5:30.
